IHRP 25th Anniversary Event a Remarkable Success!

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

Last Thursday, the IHRP celebrated its 25th anniversary and the opening of the Transformative Human Rights commemorative exhibition at the University of Toronto Art Centre (15 King’s College Crescent).  The evening was a tremendous success: we raised funds to cover the cost of the exhibition, connected with IHRP alums (as far back as 1987!), and raised a glass to toast our accomplishments.  Dean Moran, the Honourable Bill Graham, and John Ralston Saul were in attendance.  You can view photos of the opening night reception here.

The exhibition has already received media coverage, from Inside TorontoCanadian Lawyer Magazine, and Precedent Magazine.  The exhibition is open to the public until February 23rd.  On February 16, there is an Art Centre Concert featuring classical music selections inspired by the exhibition (12:00-1:00 p.m.) and a Curatorial Tour by Master of Museum Studies students (1:00-2:00 pm.).
