Jomary is a lawyer with the José Alvear Restrepo Lawyers' Collective and specializes in Constitutional law, human rights and international humanitarian law. She has worked with the Lawyers’ Collective for 9 years and is currently also pursuing a Masters degree in Latin American Political Studies at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
The José Alvear Restrepo Lawyers' Collective, is a thirty-year-old Colombian non-governmental organization who accompanies persons, peoples, and communities, which have suffered grave human rights violations, in their fight against impunity and search for comprehensive reparation. The Lawyers' Collective documents cases in which transnational companies are responsible for human rights violations and accompanies social organizing processes that clarify the historical truth and establish public responsibility for these acts.
