Has the Human Rights Movement Failed?

"Are world leaders increasingly turning a blind eye to violations of human rights? Why has leadership on this issue become so ineffective over the years?"

TVO's The Agenda host Steve Paikin will be joined by experts including Faculty of Law director of the International Human Rights Program (IHRP), Sandra Wisner, a Canadian lawyer; Farida Deif, director at Human Rights Watch Canada; Seth Kaplan, Professorial Lecturer in the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University; and Samuel Moyn, Chancellor Kent Professor of Law and History, Yale University, for a debate on Thursday February 16 (8 p.m.), marking the 75 years since the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
