IHRP Director Mandhane quoted in the Guardian re Nevsun Lawsuit

10 December 2014 - Today, IHRP Director, Renu Mandhane, was quoted in the Guardian about the latest lawsuit against a Canadian mining company alleging human rights abuses committed abroad.  In the story, which details the lawsuit filed against Nevsun Resources in relation to its Eritrean mine, Director Mandhane stated: “I do think that Canadian courts are going to see more and more of these types of cases if the government does not begin to regulate our companies more closely.” Read the Guardian's story, Eriterians sue Canadian mining firm Nevsun over human rights abuses.
