US Department of Homeland Security to Provide IHRP Report to Adjudicators of Refugee Claims

The IHRP's report, Guatemala: Country Report for Use in Refugee Claims Based on Persecution Relating to Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity  will be included in the United States Department of Homeland Securities' library for refugee adjudication officers. 

The Guatemala eport was researched and drafted by law student volunteers through the IHRP's Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Working Group in 2010.  The inclusion of the report in the US Citizenship and Immigration Services library illustrates the tremendous impact that IHRP students are having on the actual etermination of refugee cases.
