Public Interest Programs Session (For Incoming 1Ls)

Friday, August 25, 2023
Location:
J250 Rosalie Silberman Abella Moot Court Room

During this session, the IHRP will be presenting on how students can develop experience in the practice of international human rights law through volunteer groups. This could include completing international law research, open source investigations, and writing for unique working groups.  Learn more about first-year volunteer opportunities at this IHRP working group info session and by visiting our current working groups' page here:  Current Projects. You can also join our mailing list at the Clubs Fair for updates on IHRP summer internships, upcoming events, and ways to be involved with the IHRP's student-edited magazine, Rights Review.

In upper years, students will have the opportunity to join our award-winning legal clinic, the first clinic of its kind in Canada, which involves students in international human rights law advocacy, knowledge-exchange, and capacity building initiatives.
