“Current Regulatory Developments in Relation to Private Military and Security Contractors: Moving Beyond Voluntary Codes of Conduct”

Sorcha has an LLM in International Natural Resources Law from the University of Dundee and a PhD from the University of Glasgow. She is a Member of the PRIV-WAR Steering Group coordinated by the European University Institute. The project assesses the impact of the increasing use of private military companies and security companies in situations of armed conflict. PRIV-WAR examines the regulatory framework at national, European and international levels, with a view to ensuring improved compliance with international humanitarian law and human rights.
